The grip on your racquet has a direct impact on how well you play racquetball. However, racquetball grips are often overlooked and not given the important consideration that they should receive. Different grips will react differently with different types of gloves as well, so be sure to test out many different grips until you find the one that feels most comfortable and secure.
There are 2 main types of racquetball grips — the wrap around and the slide on.
The wrap around grip is simple to install. One side is the grip and the other side sticks to your racquet handle. As the name implies, you just wrap the grip around.
The slide on grip can be a bit harder to install on your racquet. The easiest way is to spray the inside of the grip with WD-40 or even hair spray. Make sure you spray the handle as well. Next you secure your racquet and push the grip onto the handle. By making a twisting motion you can slide the grip on with ease.
